
Stan Lee, the colourful Marvel Comics patriarch who helped usher in a new era of superhero storytelling, died at the age of 95, with a string of Hollywood personalities including Chris Hemsworth, Ryan Reynolds and Robert Downey Jr., paying their emotional tributes to the comic visionary. Kirk Schneck, an attorney for Lee's daughter, told that the comic giant was taken from his Los Angeles home on Monday morning to Cedar's Sinai Medical Centre, where he later died. The cause of death is not yet known, according to Scheneck.
Veteran Italian composer Ennio Morricone, who won the Oscar for his work on Quentin Tarantino's 'The Hateful Eight', has labelled the director "a cretin". Morricone criticised Tarantino for his chaotic working style and lack of originality in an interview published this week in the December edition of the German-language version of Playboy.

She also garnered an Oscar nomination for Bridesmaids.McCarthy currently stars in the biographical drama Can You Ever Forgive Me? as real-life forger Lee Israel, and played a detective in the puppet comedy The Happytime Murders, released earlier this year.
