The much reputed FEST – Training Ground is one of the premium events in the International Film Fraternity. The event is usually blessed with the presence of eminent film making personalities, and the one week deluxe training event will feature workshops to master classes, lectured by industry top experts with recognized achievements. This year's FEST – Training Ground is scheduled from June 23rd- 28th at Espinho, Portugal. The recent news from the corner is regarding the roping of Spanish director Fernando Trueba to conduct a masterclass.

Fernando Trueba is widely considered as one of the most prolific film makers in the Spanish Film Industry. He started his career as a film critic in El Pais, one of the leading news papers in Spain. Later, in 1980, he founded his own film magazine, 'Casablanca'.

In 1994, 'Bell Epoque' directed by Fernando won the Academy Award for the 'Best Foreign Language Film'. He has also won the Goya Awards three times. 'The Girl of Your Dreams', his movie which was released in 1999 was nominated for the Golden Bear at the 49th Berlin International Film Festival.
